Public Health Lecture Series

The Care Foundation has provided funding for a series of community health lectures seeking to educate, inform and challenge the Nelson Marlborough public on certain health matters.

The lectures are organised by staff from the University of Otago Christchurch and Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough.

Topics for the lectures are selected for their relevance/appeal to the community and invited speakers are expert in the field of the chosen topic.

The lectures are free to attend and are held at The Suter in Nelson with an online option via Zoom for those who are unable to attend in person.

The lectures have been popular with the public with topics covered so far including the Covid 19 Pandemic, Advance Care Planning, End of Life Choices, Dementia, Sleep, Osteoarthritis and Advances in Cancer Prevention, Diagnosis & Treatment.
